After starting in June, filming on Wonder Woman 1984 has finally wrapped.

Series star Gal Gadot uploaded a post to Instagram this morning to celebrate the occasion. The photo shows Gadot in her Wonder Woman gear. She's joined by a crowd and director Patty Jenkins, who is holding a megaphone. Gadot and the crowd are applauding. "We did it. Again!!” Gadot's caption declares. “We shot in 4 very different locations in 3 countries, and I'm so soooo proud of the almost 1000 crew members who came to set every day, giving everything they have into our movie.”

Wonder Woman 1984 is the second film in the DC Extended Universe's current Wonder Woman franchise. It is the fourth in the DCEU to feature the character. The others are the first Wonder Woman film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.

The sequel takes a significant jump forward in time, moving from World War I to the eponymous year 1984. The plot will revolve around Cold War tensions, with Princess Diana coming into conflict with the Soviet Union. The film marks the cinematic debut of comics villain Cheetah (Kristen Wiig), a goddess who possesses the body of British archeologist Barbara Ann Minerva. Chris Pine is also set to return as Steve Trevor, despite his apparent death at the end of the first film.
