Wonder Woman 1984 will be one of the longest DC Extended Universe films to date.

According to Fandango, the film clocks in at 151 minutes, or just over 2.5 hours. That places it above Wonder Woman's 141-minute runtime and just below the 152-minute theatrical cut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

After numerous release date changes, many of which stemmed from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Warner Bros. confirmed Wonder Woman 1984 would be available on HBO Max Christmas Day in the U.S. at no additional cost. Moreover, the film will also be available in theaters where they're open, though it will premiere earlier overseas.

In October, Jenkins said, "Direct-to-streaming is not even being discussed. We are still 100% behind the theatrical experience for (Wonder Woman 1984) and supporting our beloved theater business." However, Tenet's poor performance proved to be the tipping point for Warner Bros.

"As we navigate these unprecedented times, we've had to be innovative in keeping our businesses moving forward while continuing to super-serve our fans," WarnerMedia Studios and Networks Group Chair and CEO Ann Sarnoff said. "This is an amazing film that really comes to life on the big screen and, working with our partners in the exhibition community, we will provide that option to consumers in the U.S. where theaters are open. We realize that a lot of consumers can’t go back to the movies due to the pandemic, so we also want to give them the option to see Wonder Woman 1984 via our HBO Max platform."
