From shopping malls to fanny packs, Wonder Woman 1984 takes full advantage of its throwback time period as the Amazon superhero faces off against Cheetah and Maxwell Lord at the height of the Cold War.

Revlon has released a behind-the-scenes featurette for the upcoming DC Extended Universe film, unveiling new footage as it spotlights how the production developed Diana Prince's fashion sense to capture the styles and colors of the 80s.

The new footage shows Diana enjoying everything from dinner at an outside restaurant in Washington, D.C. to high society galas where she encounters Cheetah and Max, expanding upon previously released footage while showcasing Gal Gadot's glamorous new looks for the DCEU film.

Given the humidity present at filming locations in D.C. and Spain, the cosmetics department had to ensure that the make-up would be maintained under the filming conditions. To help maintain period-fidelity, Revlon provided the production with vintage colors that were available during the 80s to bring the fashion of the decade to accurate life.

Directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film arrives in theaters Dec. 25.
