A new promo picture for Wonder Woman 1984 shows the cast and director offering homage to John Hughes' classic teen comedy/drama, The Breakfast Club.
The image shows star Gal Gadot in her Wonder Woman tiara while laying on her side with Pedro Pascal, Chris Pine, Kristen Wigg and Patty Jenkins all seated behind her. The Breakfast Club image in which the Woman Woman 1984 cast is referencing was featured on many promotional materials as well as VHS sleeves for the film.
Wonder Woman 1984 is the next DC Extended Universe set for release and will show the return of Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman and Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. Tickets for the film are currently on sale.
Wonder Woman 1984 is one of the upcoming Warner Bros. films that will drop on the HBO Max streaming service at the same time as its theatrical premiere. Meanwhile, a Wonder Woman 1984 sequel and a spinoff film about the Amazons of Themyscira are also on the way.
Directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film arrives in theaters and HBO Max on Dec. 25, while debuting theatrically in international markets starting on Dec. 16. The film will be available for a month on HBO Max in the U.S. included at no additional cost.
