Wonder Woman 1984 has received its official rating ahead of its August release.

The Motion Pictures Association rated the upcoming DC film PG-13 for "sequences of action and violence." This comes to no surprise, as Wonder Woman is set to face off against Cheetah and Maxwell Lord. This was also the same rating as its predecessor.

Although the film has received its rating, fans still have to wait a bit longer to see the return of Diana Prince. Wonder Woman 1984 was originally scheduled for a theatrical release in November 2019 before being pushed to June 2020. However, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic then forced Warner Bros. to push the film even further to August.

While the studio has already kicked off the marketing campaign, there is still doubt that the film will make its late summer release date. Even actor Connie Nelson, who plays Queen Hippolyta, spoke about the possibility of it facing another delay. That said, despite rumors of a streaming release, Warner Bros. still intends to release the film in theaters.

Directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film arrives in theaters Aug. 14.
