Following rumors that Warner Bros. was considering releasing Wonder Woman 1984 via video-on-demand, the studio has officially revealed it is pushing the film's theatrical release back from June 5 to Aug. 14.

According to Deadline, the May 15 release of Scoob! has been removed from Warner Bros.' release schedule as well due to coronavirus (COVID-19).

"When we greenlit WW 1984 it was with every intention to be viewed on the big screen and are excited to announce that Warner Bros. Pictures will be bringing the film to theatres on August 14th. We hope the world will be in a safer and healthier place by then,” Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group Chairman Toby Emmerich said in a statement.

The site also states that the reason August was chosen for Wonder Woman 1984 is that the month has proven successful for Warner Bros in the past, with 2016's Suicide Squad earning $746.8M globally.

Directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot as Diana, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film arrives in theaters on Aug 14.

Directed by Tony Cervone, Scoob! stars the voices of Will Forte as Scooby-Doo’s best friend, Shaggy; Mark Wahlberg as Blue Falcon; Jason Isaacs as the infamous Dick Dastardly; Gina Rodriguez as Velma; Zac Efron as Fred; Amanda Seyfried as Daphne; Kiersey Clemons as Falcon Fury pilot Dee Dee Skyes; Ken Jeong as the Falcon Force’s Dynomutt; Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman; Simon Cowell as himself; and Frank Welker as Scooby-Doo. The film does not currently have a release date.
