As fans eagerly await the return of Diana in next year's Wonder Woman 1984, a new photo shows the Amazon warrior making a grand entrance in a mall, which may also tie into the film's first trailer.
In the photo -- which was released by Empire -- Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) descends from above via the Lasso of Truth, which she'll utilize in favor of her sword and shield from the previous film.
Meanwhile, the patrons of the mall in the background appear to be looking at Wonder Woman, possibly wondering who this mysterious woman in the colorful costume is. However, other people in the image seem to be looking elsewhere, though who or what they're looking at isn't shown.
Seeing as this mall was featured in the aforementioned trailer, the image most likely originates from the scene of Wonder Woman dealing with the gun-toting men she fought in that setting. While the full context of the sequence is not yet known, the scene makes it clear Wonder Woman will have everything under control.
Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot as Diana, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film opens on June 5, 2020.
