A new leaked photo from Wonder Woman 1984 appears to confirm Diana Prince will have the ability to fly.
The image shows Diana soaring through the air in her Wonder Woman costume, and behind her is the character's classic logo.
First introduced in 1941's All Star Comics #8, Wonder Woman has often been depicted in comics with the power of flight. However, Gal Gadot's version of the character has yet to officially take to the sky in any of her DC Extended Universe appearances.
Wonder Woman 1984 will introduce several new characters from the hero's mythos, including Maxwell Lord and Cheetah/Barbara Ann Minerva. Several familiar faces will also appear in the film such as Steve Trevor and Hippolyta.
Wonder Woman 1984 originally finished filming in December 2018 and was set for a November 2019 release before being delayed until June 2020. The film's release date would move once again, this time to August because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film arrives in theaters Aug. 14.
