Director Patty Jenkins has debuted the first look at Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva, aka Cheetah, in Wonder Woman 1984.

The museum setting is a nod to Barbara's comic book origins, in which she's a British archaeologist who used an ancient ritual intended to grant her immortality as the caretaker of the god Urzkartaga. However, the process leaves her cursed, and hungering for flesh while in her Cheetah form.

The first look at Wiig in the Warner Bros. sequel follows images of Gal Gadot in her Wonder Woman costume, and Chris Pine reprising his role as Steve Trevor, only now decked out in decidedly 1980s attire.

Obviously, filming is now under way on Wonder Woman 1984, which moves the action from Word War I to the 1980s. It’s been rumored, no doubt due to the era, that the plot will involve the Cold War, but few story details have actually been revealed. The bigger mystery, of course, is how Pine’s Steve Trevor, who sacrificed himself at the end of the original film, is back -- and in fighting form.

Directed by Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal, Wonder Woman 1984 is slated to hit theaters on Nov. 1, 2019.
