Wonder Woman 1984 previously premiered simultaneously in theaters and HBO Max on Christmas 2020, with Warner Bros. announcing that it planned to hold day-and-date releases for its entire 2021 slate of films shortly afterward. Wonder Woman 1984 also enjoyed a surprisingly large streaming debut, even eclipsing Soul on Disney+ and Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Wonder Woman 1984's Patty Jenkins will return to write and direct the third Wonder Woman film, with Gal Gadot also slated to reprise her role as the Amazonian princess. According to Jenkins, the upcoming Amazons spinoff will set up the events of Wonder Woman 3. Connie Nielsen, who plays Diana's mother Hippolyta, also confirmed that the Amazons spinoff will take place over multiple points in time.

Directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film is currently available digitally and on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD. It will be available to stream on HBO Max on May 13.
