Gal Gadot's stunt double, Christiaan Bettridge, was the star of a recent Instagram post by the Wonder Woman 1984 actor.

"She’s been with me since the first Wonder Woman and I know we have a long future together," Gadot said. "She’s always there by my side making sure I’m safe and at the same time taking the punches and getting thrown against walls." Gadot went on to praise Bettridge's athleticism. "Thank you Stani for bringing your all, everyday and with such grace and kindness."

Bettridge was also Gadot's stunt double for the first Wonder Woman film, which premiered in the United States on June 2, 2017. Both Wonder Woman films were directed by Patty Jenkins.

Wonder Woman 1984 will mark Gadot's fourth appearance as Diana Prince. In addition to the first Wonder Woman film, the character appeared in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2017's Justice League. 

Wonder Woman 1984 will show the introduction of villains Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) and the Cheetah (Kristen Wiig). The film finished production six months ahead of its initial schedule.

Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah, Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord and Natasha Rothwell. The film opens June 5, 2020.
