WarnerMedia debuted new Wonder Woman 1984 footage at its HBO Max presentation earlier this week, and it appears to feature a Steve Trevor sighting.  There is a fair amount of secrecy surrounding the footage, which most likely won't appear anywhere online before December, but IGN has released a written description of the scenes.

Set in 1984 in Washington, DC, the clip opens on what seems to be a dream sequence. Diana, dressed in an ethereal white dress, strolls in front of the Washington Monument with Steve. She reaches out to touch Steve's face, while her voice narrates, "I can almost see it, like a beautiful dream."

The trailer then cuts to another scene inside the White House amidst a heated battle. Wearing her new armor, Wonder Woman is seen defending herself and Steve. She uses her lasso to hold off her opponents, while she empties a gun at others. This could suggest Steve is a flesh and blood part of the story, instead of just a fantasy or dream. It's also during this battle that Wonder Woman fends off a bolt of lightening, leaving us to speculate about some other supernatural force she may have to face.

Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot as Diana, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film opens on June 5, 2020.
