The wait for the first footage of Wonder Woman 1984 is almost over.On Twitter, a promotional care package delivered to Fandom by star Gal Gadot herself has revealed the first trailer for Patty Jenkins' sequel to the 2016 smash hit will arrive Sunday at Comic Con Experience in São Paulo, Brazil.

"I wish I could be in the UK to share the brand new trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 with you in person..." the package's card reads, "...but please join Patty Jenkins and me in São Paulo, Brazil via @WonderWomanFilm on Twitter this Sunday to watch it live!"

On Monday, Gadot teased that something "very exciting" was coming on Sunday, Dec. 8, and while she stopped short of confirming it was the film's first trailer, many rightfully assumed this was what she was alluding to.

Wonder Woman 1984 will see Gal Gadot's Diana Prince take on two new villains in Maxwell Lord and Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah. What's more, Chris Pine is also slated to reprise his role as Steve Trevor in the film, although the circumstances behind the character's return are still shrouded in secrecy.

Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot as Diana, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film opens on June 5, 2020.
