As the world gears up for the release of Wonder Woman 1984's new trailer, DC unveiled several new character posters.

The posters were released ahead of Brazil's CCXP Wonder Woman panel. Gal Gadot and Chris Pine returned as Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor. Meanwhile, Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig's Cheetah made their debut as two of the film's biggest name villains.

Maxwell Lord is one of the most notorious villains in the DC Universe landscape. Originally a part of the Justice League International run, it wasn't until Geoff Johns, Judd Winick and Greg Rucka's Coundown to Infinite Crisis that he was revealed to be a villain.

Lord hated superheroes, viewing them as a threat to the human race and using Batman's Omnics to target superhumans. He brutally murdered Ted Kord, the Blue Beetle and at the event's conclusion, Wonder Woman infamously snapped Lord's neck.

Cheetah, on the other hand, is primarily known as being a Wonder Woman villain. Her origins date all the way back to Wonder Woman #6 in 1943. She has since become one of Diana's main threats, consistently appearing in her stories throughout the years.

Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot as Diana, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film opens on June 5, 2020.
