At Comic Con Experience in Brazil, director Patty Jenkins revealed that Wonder Woman 1984 is completely done, a whole six months ahead of schedule, though Jenkins still plans to tinker with it before its release.

In a group interview attended by Collider and other outlets, Jenkins said, with the movie virtually finished, for the first time in career, she's able to say, "'Hey guys, can you let me fiddle with this? Can you let me fiddle with that?' So I’m fiddling but the movie is technically done." Gadot chimed in, stoking fans' anticipation by saying, "We can share it with the world. It’s ready."

Even though they finished post-production early, there were still some skeptics, especially when the movie wasn't submitted for review. However, Jenkins addresses those nay-sayers, clarifying, "There were even these moments where I remember when we weren’t going to Comic-Con and somebody speculated, 'Maybe they don’t have enough action.' I was like, Ah, just wait. You’re going to see our action. You’re going to see ‘there’s no way we just did that’ as a reaction. That’s a year-long process. Like just dying to show it."

Still, while the film might technically be done, the release date remains firm, giving Jenkins plenty of time to finetune the final product.

Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot as Diana, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film opens on June 5, 2020.
