A new poster for Warner Bros.' upcoming film, Wonder Woman 1984, perfectly captures the 1980s aesthetic.

The poster, which was created by artist mexifunk, was made for Comic Con Columbia. It shows a neon version Wonder Woman wielding her Golden Lasso, surrounded by bright blue and pink lights. In addition to the poster, a short clip that shows the piece's creation process was also shared.

The 1980s aesthetic has played heavily into the promotion of Wonder Woman 1984. The first trailer uses a remix of the song "Blue Monday" by New Order and several other Wonder Woman 1984 posters have been released that embrace neon lights and other 1980s elements.

The ninth DC Extended Universe film set for release, Wonder Woman 1984 will show the popular DC Comics character as she comes face-to-face with two powerful villains, Maxwell Lord and Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah. The film will also have Wonder Woman reuniting with Steve Trevor, who was thought to have died during the events of 2017's Wonder Woman.

Due to the coronavirus, a new release date was recently set for Wonder Woman 1984, moving the film's premiere from August 2020 to October 2020.
