Wonder Woman 1984 is still slated for a December release, but fans may want to prepare in case they don't see the Amazonian take on Cheetah and Maxwell Lord in 2020.

Box Office Pro Chief Analyst Shawn Robbins has predicted that Warner Bros. will likely delay Wonder Woman 1984 to 2021 and push back its release date to one of two critical holiday weekends.

"Optimistically, there's a window for a big tentpole around the Presidents and Valentine's Day holiday weekend in February since Marvel"s Eternals vacated that spot," Robbins told Observer. "That could be a good fit if the fall and winter fight against the virus goes better than expected and New York, alongside Los Angeles, reopen theaters by then."

A Valentine's Day release worked very well for Deadpool ,which opened on Feb. 12, 2016, with over $132 million in weekend ticket sales. Black Panther opened Presidents' Day weekend and raked in more than $200 million about two years later.

However, Robbins added that Jun. 11 could also be a great spot for Wonder Woman to land. "Perhaps more realistically, June 11 looks like a great spot," he said. "Universal just left that weekend wide open with Jurassic World: Dominion's delay to 2022. It would allow a two-week gap after F9 and a two-week head start on the Venom sequel, both of which will be predominantly male-driven anyway. It's also part of the early summer corridor where the first Wonder Woman enjoyed so much success."

Earlier this week, Warner Bros. delayed four other DC films including The BatmanThe FlashBlack Adam and Shazam 2Wonder Woman 1984 was left alone, still scheduled for a Christmas release date and director Patty Jenkins has stated she is not even considering a direct-to-streaming option. "Direct to streaming is not even being discussed. We are still 100% behind the theatrical experience for #WW84 and supporting our beloved theater business," she tweeted.

Directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film is scheduled to release in theaters Dec. 25.
