Two new faces have joined the cast of Wonder Woman 1984.
Ravi Patel and Gabriella Wilde have both been cast for next year's Wonder Woman sequel with the new roles currently being kept secret. The two actors are the latest additions to the growing ensemble with Insecure's Natasha Rothwell joining the cast in a mystery role on Tuesday.
Patel previously appeared in a supporting role on the Netflix series Master of None as well as the 2007 Transformers film. The actor also wrote and co-directed the 2014 comedy documentary Meet the Patels to critical acclaim. Wilde is perhaps best known for appearing in 2011's The Three Musketeers as well as the 2013 Carrie remake.
Wonder Woman 1984 officially began principal photography this past May with filming expected to continue through November. As suggested by the title, the sequel will be set in the 1980s with the DC superhero facing a new villain in Kristen Wiig's Cheetah though specifics on the story are still under wraps.
Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, and Natasha Rothwell. It is scheduled to be released on November 1, 2019.
