Wonder Woman 1984 will get in the spirit of the decade's decadence when it releases this fall. According to Chris Pine, who plays Steve Trevor, the film features an "exciting" mall sequence that he described as a "visual, aural feast."

"Filmmaking always -- it's like walking into Disneyland," Pine explained. "The amount of collaborative artists that have to get together to make something work is extraordinary. And the production design -- it's all the old cast of characters back behind-the-scenes, and doing extraordinary stuff, so walking into a mall in D.C. where we shot this mall thing, and everything about the mall is -- like, there's a record store which sounds crazy, but there's -- it's seemingly archaic. Oh yeah, the music, the fashion, all of it. It's exciting. It's a visual, aural feast, you know?"

The trailers for the film thus far have teased an action-packed mall scene, where Diana swings into action as Wonder Woman due to some as-yet unrevealed conflict. However, glimpses of this sequence have been fleeting, so Pine's comments help flesh out the concept and may even reveal a little more information about its placement in the film. After all, he mentioned he shot scenes at the mall, which indicates it takes place sometime after he returns.

Of course, Steve's return remains a mystery in and of itself. When he was introduced in Wonder Woman, he was an American spy who gave his life to help Diana stop Ares, the God of War, during World War I. He piloted a plane filled with bombs away from the battlefield, saving hundreds of innocent lives, but died in the subsequent explosion. As such, it is unclear how he will come back after this definitive end -- or why he is suddenly at a mall during the 1980s.

Directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film arrives in theaters Oct. 2.
