Announced in February, Wonder Twins hails from writer/director Adam Sztykiel (Black Adam), with Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey producing for Temple Hill.

Created by Norman Maurer, William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the Wonder Twins are a pair of siblings named Zan and Jayna with the power to transform into any state of water (Zan) or animal (Jayna) after touching hands and shouting, "Wonder Twin powers, activate!" The twins debuted in 1977's The All-New Super Friends Hour and were frequently accompanied by their blue alien monkey pet Gleek, along with members of the Justice League.

The Wonder Twins were folded into DC Comics continuity after Crisis on Infinite Earths with 1996's Extreme Justice and appeared sporadically after that. Most recently, they headlined a Wonder Twins 12-issue limited series that kicked off in 2019 from Mark Russell, Stephen Bryne and Dave Sharpe.

"Well, the Wonder Twins themselves I kind of view as one really good, well-adjusted person tragically split in half. So they're basically incomplete people. Which is I think the way every teen feels," Russell previously told CBR. "They're dealing with deep deficits in their personality and they feel awkward and alienated because of it, not realizing that everyone else feels exactly the same way. That's the sort of dynamic I wanted give to the Wonder Twins. They are deeply alienated teenagers who are just beginning to work out who they really are. I wanted them, with superpowers, to go through the same process I think every teenager goes through whether or not they have superpowers."

While the Wonder Twins have yet to appear in live-action, they were teased in The CW's Arrowverse crossover "Crisis on Infinite Earths" by way of a nod to Gleek. Producer Marc Guggenheim would later confirm Zan and Jayna were actually in early scripts, saying, "That was something where we knew we wanted to end with that fun bit. There were early versions of the draft that had the Wonder Twins actually in it. I consider the Wonder Twins kind of a jump ball: We’ll see what show wants to grab it."

Wonder Twins has yet to receive a release date.
