The Vision was a main character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe from his debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron until his untimely death in Avengers: Infinity War. It was exciting to see the character again in WandaVision, but the version of Vision that was known to the MCU was truly dead. Yet, WandaVision created a new version of the character, one without personality or feelings. With a Wonder Man series on the horizon, there is an opportunity for this new Vision to return to a more familiar form.

In the comics, Wonder Man's brain is the foundation for much of Vision's personality. While the MCU made it a combination of Jarvis, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, the MCU's Vision was still very similar to the comics. Wonder Man is a superhero/actor who lives in Hollywood. He was a main member of the Avengers for a number of years, including his time with the West Coast Avengers. His presence in the MCU may not only add another very powerful member to the Avengers lineup, but it could also signal the return of Vision and the end to the Scarlet Witch's mourning.

The new version of Vision, White Vision, is free in the MCU. He hasn't been seen since the end of WandaVision. There is no news on what he has been doing or if he has evolved any further. The original Vision's personality continued to evolve over time, so it would make sense the White Vision's would do the same. He could end up meeting Wonder Man and his personality could evolve through a relationship with him. Or he may watch Wonder Man on TV, developing similar personality traits, just like Wanda did with American sitcoms. Having White Vision become more human through film and TV would create a poetic relationship between his and Wanda's own upbringing.

Alternatively, the MCU could pursue the comic origin and have Vision be made from a brain scan of Wonder Man. It may be difficult to develop a situation where the new hero, Wonder Man, ends up having to let White Vision make a copy of his brain, but it would be wonderful to see the comics accurate Vision come to life. Returning to the real Vision, a Vision with a personality, opens the doors to many storytelling opportunities, ones that Wonder Man can also play a crucial part in.

Vision becoming a copy of Wonder Man would give him his personality back, but he wouldn't be the Vision that was in love with Wanda. This could lead to Vision starting his own synthetic family, like he did in the comics. In Tom King and Gabriel Hernandez Walta's Vision series, Vision created his own family after resetting his emotions. This lead to dire consequences, with the Grim Reaper, Wonder Man's super villain brother, dying. The MCU could easily adapt this storyline therefore delivering a familiar, emotional Vision, while still creating a new status quo for the character.

The Wonder Man series seems to be the key to Vision returning full time to the MCU. White Vision may be more powerful without emotions hindering him, but a Vision that is like Wonder Man may be far more interesting. It would establish new relationships with Wanda and other Avengers, while still giving the audience a more familiar version of Vision. The Wonder Man series has the potential to be very interesting and serve as a jumping off point for some big Marvel storylines.
