Fanart is one of the many great ways fans can pay tribute to and show off how much they love something. In some cases, in fact, it is an opportunity to bring two things that they love together. This is the case with Dragon Ball and Disney.

So many people have done their own takes on Dragon Ball characters and how they might look if they were characters in a Disney animated film. The ladies of Dragon Ball in particular have a lot of really cool and creative examples of what their Disney heroine persona might be. Here are 10 great pieces of Disney Dragon Ball fan art featuring the women of the series.

10 Mulan 18

This fanart by Kukuruyoart is such a great take on Android 18. She is such a powerful character who takes care of herself and does not lean on anyone to solve her problems for her.

In this way, she definitely has a lot in common with Mulan, who similarly goes out of her way to take care of her family and to win battles all with her own power.

9 Disney-fied Dragon Ball Girls

This fanart, by Meiharu, is a really great look at the ladies of Dragon Ball. While the other fanart in this list so far has been examples of what the girls would look like if they were characters in specific Disney movies, this one is more a take on what they would look like if all of Dragon Ball was drawn in a Disney style.

The characters have bigger eyes, fuller lips, and are colored in a more pastel palette, making them look even cuter than they already do in the series.

8 Bulma And The Beast

One of the big things that can happen in Dragon Ball is that the Saiyans can turn into giant gorillas during the full moon. Bulma would probably have found this out first hand since she’s married to a Saiyan.

This fan art by Mily of Bulma as Belle and Vegeta as a gorilla-esque Beast is a great example of how to pull the themes of a Disney film like Beauty and the Beast and an anime like Dragon Ball together, by finding common elements in them both.

7 Cinderella And The Prince

Here is another great example, by Gyu_lobo, of taking the basic character designs of the Dragon Ball characters and putting them into the outfits and positions of Disney characters.

In this case, it is Trunks and Mai, dressed as Prince Charming and Cinderella from Cinderella. Mai looks flustered and happy with her dance partner at the ball, and the amazing blue dress for which Cinderella is known goes perfectly with Trunks’s blue hair.

6 Aladdin And Jasmine

Goku and Chi-Chi are the obvious choices for characters who would best be represented by Aladdin and Jasmine, as shown here in this fan art by adb338.

Chi-Chi is one of the more headstrong women in a series full of headstrong and powerful women, and she definitely doesn’t take any sass from Goku or anyone else. She sticks up for herself and her family whenever necessary, and her goofy husband is definitely exactly the Aladdin type.

5 Chi-Chi And Goku

More than one person has definitely found that Goku and Chi-Chi reminded them a lot of Aladdin and Jasmine, as shown here in this fanart, another one by Meiharu. But where the last fanart leaned more into Aladdin, this one definitely has all of the trappings of Dragon Ball.

The two are in their classic outfits and are riding on a cloud instead of a magic carpet. Their faces definitely resemble the classic Disney film’s characters, and Chi-Chi even holds a flower, like Jasmine did on her similar flight.

4 Dragon Hearts

While it is definitely a video game and manga in its own right, Kingdom Hearts is also a Disney property, and the characters from the series are therefore Disney characters.

This is a great fan art by GtmArtex with the characters in various outfits from the video game series. But Android 18, seen here as Kairi, is a great look which both captures the energy of Kairi as a character and of Android 18.

3 GT Fairies

The Tinker Bell films have given us a lot of fun character designs, with new fairy characters who act as Tinker Bell’s friends.

This fan art, by Nita_NaruHina, reimagines characters from Dragon Ball GT as fairies from the movie series, complete with fantastical cute fairy costumes and pointed ears.

2 Snow Bulma

As the main female protagonist in Dragon Ball, it makes sense that Bulma gets recreated in fan art more often than many of the other women in the series.

Here, in this fan art by BraBrief, she is dressed as Snow White, holding an apple that is definitely poisoned. She is also definitely scolding Yamcha for not having rescued her from getting the poisoned apple in the first place because the Prince also does not do much to protect Snow White in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

1 90s Cartoon Bulma

Artist Michael Lee Lunsford has done a whole series of Dragon Ball characters designed to look like Disney characters. Here, among others, is a great design of Bulma. She has a very '90s Disney cartoon vibe, seeming spunky and ready to take care of herself, with absolutely no need for a prince to come to save her.

Her big eyes and big '90s bangs, plus the cute pigeon-toed way she’s standing, definitely lets everyone know that she is not a damsel in distress.
