As part of this spring's ResurrXion revamp of Marvel's line of X-Men comics, Wolverine is getting a makeover. With "All-New Wolverine" #19, Laura Kinney will sport a new black and gray look, one designed to help her stalk villains (turns out a bright yellow costume doesn't make for good camouflage). Not only will Wolverine get a new look, she's also getting a new series artist. Leonard Kirk -- known for his work on "Squadron Supreme," "Fantastic Four" and "X-Factor" -- will team-up with writer Tom Taylor to tell the continuing adventures of Laura Kinney.

As part of the latest installment of X-POSITION, CBR got an exclusive first look at the first "All-New Wolverine" art by incoming artist Leonard Kirk, with colorist Jesus Aburtov. The art, a variant cover for April's "All-New Wolverine" #19, features the clad in black Wolverine wading through what looks like bloody waters.

As part of this week's X-POSITION, series writer Tom Taylor spoke about the necessity of Laura's wardrobe change. "There are a few different reasons [for the change]," said Taylor. "For one, it’s bulletproof — and a healing factor shouldn’t mean you like getting hurt. Wolverine can still be wolverine without being full of holes. The other reason for the uniform change is that it’s hard to track bad guys through the shadows when you’re wearing bright yellow. And, yes, it’s permanent — except for when it needs to be washed."

"All-New Wolverine" #19 will also kick off a new storyline, titled "Immune." The "Immune" story arc will detail what happens after an alien child in an escape pod crashes on Earth. Before succumbing to a mystery alien virus, the child says one name: Laura Kinney. Taylor spoke about the new story back in December, saying, “With thousands falling sick from the alien contagion, the city is quarantined by S.H.I.E.L.D., working with other world governments and the superhero community. Only Wolverine can enter the contamination zone. But, if she enters, she can’t walk out again. The clock is ticking and the stakes have never been higher. Can Laura uncover her own connection and importance to the alien child? Can she save a city? Will she make the ultimate sacrifice to do so? Hundreds of thousands of lives are in Wolverine’s clawed hands.”

"All-New Wolverine" #19 arrives in stores on April 5.
