Wolverine's Death(s) and An Unexpected Team-Up Lead Marvel's Upcoming Releases

Wolverine's lives and deaths continue next week in Marvel Comics.

This past week, a 10-issue event starring Wolverine began in X Lives of Wolverine #1. While the story will be going on for 10 issues, it actually stretches across two miniseries -- X Lives and X Deaths of Wolverine -- which will follow an alternating release schedule for new Wolverine content every week now through March 2022. Both miniseries are helmed by writer Benjamin Percy, with X Deaths of Wolverine #1 out next Wednesday, featuring art by Federico Vicentini. There are still many other titles to look for on shelves and digitally though.

From the world of Spider-Man comes a team-up between an unlikely pair: Mary Jane Watson and Felicia Hardy. In Mary Jane & Black Cat: Beyond #1, a tie-in to the current "Beyond" storyline from The Amazing Spider-Man, one Spider-Man love interest will have to save the other. The Amazing Spider-Man #78 saw MJ and Felicia find some civil footing by both caring for Peter Parker's recovery, but the solicitation for the upcoming one-shot teases that there will still be some lingering friction between the two as they work together.

In addition to tales featuring clawed mutants and wall crawlers next week, Marvel also celebrates the 200th issue of Black Panther, debuts a new Star Wars story with Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser - Halcyon Legacy #1, releases new installments for the current Daredevil-centric event Devil's Reign and more.
