Empyre, which was teased at the end of December's Incoming one-shot, will be Marvel Comics' next major event in 2020, uniting the Kree and Skrull in a war against Earth. An event so momentous means tie-ins, and Marvel Comics has now given CBR an exclusive first look at Nick Bradshaw's Empyre cover for Fantastic Four #21.

The cover shows James Howlett/Wolverine and Peter Parker/Spider-Man -- who have been a part of past iterations of the team -- uniting with Valeria and Franklin Richards while the main team is out in space. You can see CBR's exclusive first look at writer Dan Slott and artist Sean Izaakse's Fantastic Four #21 below alongside the solicitation for the issue.

  • EMPYRE TIE–IN!
  • With the Fantastic Four neck–deep in the menace in space, who can Powerhouse and Brainstorm call upon to deal with the crisis down on Earth? Only Spider–Man and Wolverine, of course!

Wolverine and Spider-Man were both part of the New Fantastic Four, which first appeared in Walt Simonson and Arthur Adams' 1990 Fantastic Four #347. Spider-Man also served as a team member following the apparent death of Johnny Storm.

Fantastic Four #21 releases in April from Marvel Comics. Empyre, by Al Ewing, Dan Slott and Valerio Schiti, will arrive that same month.
