Pacific Rim Uprising star Scott Eastwood would love to follow in the footsteps of Hugh Jackman as the next live-action Wolverine.

In an interview with Screen Rant, the son of the legendary Clint Eastwood talked about his chances of playing Logan next. When asked to comment on him being fancasted as the character, he said "I love Wolverine. He's one of my favorite comic book characters of all time." Eastwood specifically mentioned that "He's a renegade...a loose cannon...the kind of character that I love."

Of course, it could be years before a new Wolverine is needed on the big screen, considering it could take awhile before the merger between Fox and Disney is complete. However, if he were to get the call, Eastwood confirmed that he would "100 percent" be down to play Wolverine.

In recent years, Scott Eastwood has become something of a blockbuster movie actor. He appeared in Suicide Squad from 2016 and The Fate of the Furious from 2017. Now he is slated to star alongside John Boyega in Pacific Rim: Uprising.

Arriving in theaters on March 23, director Steven S. DeKnight’s Pacific Rim Uprising stars Eastwood, Boyega, Rinko Kikuchi, Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tian, Adria Arjona, Karan Brar, Ivanna Sakhno, Zhang Jin, Zhu Zhu, Burn Gorman and Charlie Day.
