SPOILER WARNING: The following article contains major spoilers for the final page of Mighty Thor #703 by Jason Aaron, Russell Dauterman, Matthew Wilson and Joe Sabino, on sale now.
Ever since Logan returned to the Marvel Universe in Marvel Legacy #1, the discussion has centered on where the original Wolverine would show up next -- especially since he is in possession of an Infinity Stone. Marvel slowly revealed details on a new initiative revolving around Wolverine making guest-appearances at the end of select comics, similar to the post-credits scenes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Wolverine's first post-credits scene took place in Captain America #695 after an unsuccessful attempt to reconnect with Steve Rogers. Now, Logan tries again with Jane Foster in Mighty Thor #703, but comes up empty yet again.
The scene takes us inside a quiet hospital lobby, where a nurse sits behind a counter. Out of nowhere, Logan appears with a bouquet of flowers, hands them to the nurse and walks away. However, Logan didn't leave a card or his name, leaving the nurse to call out to Logan and ask if he wants Jane to know who the flowers are from.
Logan seems to be on a mission to reunite with his former friends and teammates, but for what purpose? Of course, they would be delighted to know he's back from the dead, but couldn't he just show up at either Avengers Mansion or the Xavier School to let a larger audience know at once? Why has Wolverine chosen these select heroes to meet one-on-one, and Jane Foster in particular, with whom he has little connection to? For now, the mystery continues in Logan's next post-credits scene in Amazing Spider-Man #794, which goes on sale January 24.
