When he returned to the Marvel Universe last year, Wolverine had the Space Stone in hand. And while he quickly gave it up, it appears that Wolverine will get a chance to wield all the Infinity Stones next year in a new series from Gerry Duggan and Andy MacDonald.

Wolverine: Infinity Watch been teased with the reveal of the first issue's cover (by artist Giuseppe Camuncoli), which depicts Logan's hand, gloved with an Infinity Gauntlet boasting all the Infinity Stones and, of course, his signature claws popping through.

While the publisher is remaining coy on what the book will be about, it does promise fans "the answers you seek as Logan ventures out alongside everyone’s favorite god of lies and stories, Loki Laufeyson! THE NEW COSMIC STATUS QUO WILL DEMAND... WATCHING…”

At present, Marvel is neck deep in the Return of Wolverine, while Duggan himself is penning Loki's adventures with the Stones in Infinity Wars. In the comics, the Infinity Watch was a group of heroes meant to safeguard the Stones, and Loki recently assembled his own version of the team to stop Requiem's quest to reshape the galaxy.

It remains to be seen how the two figures will link up in this series, but you would have to assume there's some bad blood between them after Loki tried to seal the Space Stone from Logan when he was resurrected only to be sliced up.

Wolverine: Infinity Watch #1 debuts in February 2019.
