Wolverine, G.I. Joe, The Brave and The Bold: February 19th Comic Reel Wrap

The big rumor flying around the message boards at Superhero Hype is that “Friday Night Lights” star Taylor Kitsch will play Gambit in the mutant-minded spinoff. Superhero Hype also reports a rumor that the production will be shooting in Glebe Point Park, Sydney on February 29.

Another rumor that’s back from around the mulberry bush is from Ain’t It Cool News who claims that Reynolds will play the merc-with-a-mouth, Deadpool, and Superhero Hype surmised that this will be alongside High Jackman.

The name “Larry Hama” has been synonymous with “G.I. Joe” in the minds of many fans since his trailblazing comics series started in the 80s. So what does he think about Stephen Sommers’ essay at bringing the classic toy property to the silver screen? You’d have to watch the video interview at IESB to find that out.

According to World’s Finest, a new animated series will premiere in the fall that will showcase Batman with another DCU hero every week. This would be a new animated incarnation with no ties to previous ones (i.e. not “Batman: The Animated Series,” not “New Frontier,” not “The Batman,” not “Gotham Knight” and so on).

The Comic Reel Wrap’s still limping along on a backup laptop, and expects to be back to full power next week. In theory …

Still, we can’t do this without you. The rumors, the scoops, the set photos — they’re all fueled by passionate fans emailing in the goods. The ones who ask, “What do you mean your sister’s dating somebody who works for Miles Millar?” The ones who know the code names of movie projects and scour city permit filings for them. The devoted, the involved. Fans, just like you. Whatever you know, we wanna know, and whether you want your name shouted to the web’s rafters or kept closer than a classified report, we’ve got you covered like a comforter. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thank you for your time and indulgence, and [tagline due to return with new WGA drafts shortly].
