Following up on this morning's tease of "devastation" coming to the pages of the recently relaunched Uncanny X-Men, Marvel Comics has debuted another cover from its flagship mutant-starring series, along with the text declaring the returning Wolverine and Cyclops as "The Last X-Men."

“This is the fight to save mutantkind, the fight to restore their legacy, and this is the fight for their lives," writer Matthew Rosenberg said in the quote accompanying the image's release. "This is forever.”

The cover art, by Salvador Larroca (who is also handling interior art duties for the issue), shows the newly resurrected Cyclops following in the path of Wolverine, who returned to life just last year. As for how the pair of them reunite, or what it may have to do with the previous issue's focus on Scott Summers picking up the pieces of what appears to be a massive battle at the Xavier Institute remains a mystery for now.

Uncanny X-Men #12, by Matthew Rosenberg and Salvador Larroca, arrives in February 2019.
