In February, Wolverine gets his own relaunched ongoing comic book series as part of Dawn of X, with a new trailer for the opening issue teasing the return of a familiar foe.

The oversized first issue of the upcoming series will feature two separate stories, each written by Benjamin Percy. The first, illustrated by Adam Kubert, sees Logan investigate a murder mystery while the second, drawn by Victor Bogdonavic, features a grudge match between Wolverine and Omega Red. In a trailer released by Marvel Comics, Percy, editor Jordan White and editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski promise an action-packed look at Wolverine's new status quo and state of mind on the mutant nation-state of Krakoa.

Launched in 2019, Dawn of X has boldly repositioned Marvel's X-Men comic line to reflect Krakoa's creation, providing the mutants with a safe, idealistic paradise to call their home on Earth.

While Wolverine may have found an unexpected amount of happiness among the X-Men and his fellow mutants, the trailer for his eponymous comic series hints that Logan's bloody past may catch up to him soon enough.
