DC Comics confirmed September as Villain's Month earlier this week, and details continue to trickle out before the official release of the publisher's September solicitations. While there have been a few exciting tidbits, none will be more exciting for "Teen Titans" fans than the revelation that "The New Teen Titans" co-launcher Marv Wolfman will return to write the team for "Teen Titans" #23.1, which features the demon lord Trigon. In an interview with ComicVine, Wolfman discussed what went into creating the character back in 1981.

"When I created the idea of Trigon, DC didn't really have large scale villains like him," Wolfman told ComicVine. "I wanted him to not only be the terrifying representation of evil, but also the father of Raven; the idea being he would inextricably linked to one of the Titans and would be the reason for the characters to get together."
