The first official image of Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke surfaced yesterday, and the character's co-creator, Marv Wolfman, has given his take on the adaptation.

Wolfman took to his Facebook page to share his approval for this live-action version of his character. Deathstroke appears in the post-credits scene for Justice League after breaking Lex Luthor free, and the writer thinks Manganiello "looks like he stepped right out of the pages of New Teen Titans."

Wolfman continued by asking fans, "does he look perfect or what?" It's clear that he's excited, to say the least, by finishing with "cannot wait to see where he appears next." First appearing in The New Teen Titans #2 in 1980, Slade Wilson, AKA Deathstroke, was created by Wolfman and artist George Pérez. He was originally the archenemy of the Teen Titans, but over the years he's also made a worthy foe for Batman himself.
