WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for Wizards: Tales of Arcadia, now available on Netflix.

Wizards: Tales of Arcadia is the final installment in the Tales of Arcadia trilogy, picking up where Trollhunters and 3Below left off. It revolves around Merlin's apprentice, Douxie, getting thrown into 12th century Camelot where he, Claire and Archie try to save Jim from turning into a troll full-time and fight off a new apocalypse thanks to the emergence of the Arcane Ones.

With King Arthur and his sister, Morgana, corrupted and acting as pawns of the Arcane Ones, the finale sees Douxie pulling out all stops and finally embracing his destiny as a Master Wizard.

THE ROYAL DEATHS

Morgana hates what she and her brother have become and breaks out of the Arcane Ones' servitude, recognizing she has to save Arthur's soul as they resurrected him to be a bloodthirsty wraith known as the Green Knight. They both wanted to save and unite the planet so she decides to rebel by helping the heroes. When Douxie gets them all back to the present, though, Arthur and the Arcane Ones find them and wage war to attain the Genesis Seals and Nari (a mystical being) from Douxie.

However, as Morgana and Arthur fight, while she tries to appeal to his sense of humanity, it's all but gone. She saw hints of this first in the Shadow Realm and knowing at last that he can't be redeemed, she drops the flying Camelot castle on them. Arthur's second and much darker reign ends and Morgana passes into the afterlife, redeemed at last.

DOUXIE'S BIG PLAY

Initially, Douxie tricks the Arcane Ones and drops them into a time loop to chase the Genesis Seals, but they eventually return to get Nari. In a battle in the castle, though, Douxie unleashes his full powers, finally acknowledging he needs to move past Merlin being killed by Arthur's sword. As a result, the blast knocked the Arcane Ones away and plummets Douxie to his death below.

However, beyond the grave, Merlin speaks with him and says he's proud of what Douxie's become -- a rule breaker. But his journey has now begun, so he needs to get back to protect Nari. Douxie thanks Merlin as he watches the other apprentice, Morgana, walk off into the light with the teacher. Douxie's soul returns to Earth and he takes Nari away in an airship, vowing to see Arcadia's heroes again. However, at the very end, the Arcane Ones are seen following them, not being fooled by Douxie, Nari and Archie's disguises.

JIM'S FINAL FATE

While all these battles were going on, Jim turned into a mindless beast to take Claire and Co. out, but when Morgana and Arthur perished, and the Arcane Ones fell temporarily, the darkness inside him subsided. It ends with Jim being turned into stone as Morgana's dark magic ran through his veins, but luckily, as Claire hugs him, her tears break the spell and Jim returns to his human form.

He doesn't have his Trollhunter amulet anymore, though, so one has to wonder how he'll get his armor to continue, and if he's still a soldier. But what's interesting is when Arthur died, Excalibur gets stuck in the ground in its pure form. Jim tries but can't lift it, and neither could Toby, so it may be that someday Jim may be worthy enough to wield the sword and lead Claire, Blinky and Co. into battle again, especially since the Arcane Ones are still on the loose.

DreamWorks' Wizards: Tales of Arcadia stars Colin O'Donoghue as Douxie, Emile Hirsch as Jim, Lexi Medrano as Claire, Charlie Saxton as Toby, Steven Yeun as Steve, David Bradley as Merlin, Lena Headey as Morgana, Diego Luna as Krel and Kelsey Grammer as Blinky. It is available now on Netflix.
