StudioCanal UK has debuted a new trailer for Paddington, the upcoming family film based on the series of children's books about the polite yet mischievous bear.
The trailer travels from the jungles of Peru all the way to London alongside the titular bear, and shows his first meeting with the Brown family at Paddington Station. The footage reveals how the bear gets his name as well as an awkward dinner with patriarch Mr. Brown (Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville) and some villainous posturing by Nicole Kidman. The bear gets into all sorts of trouble, causing just enough property damage to the Brown household for you to kinda side with the dad for not wanting anything to do with the bear. But, then again, Paddington is a pretty adorable bear. That makes up for water damage!
Opening Nov. 28, Paddington also stars Ben Whishaw as the voice of the bear, as well as Peter Capaldi, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent.
