After temporarily suspending production due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, filming on The Witcher Season 2 is nearly ready to resume, and now, a working title has been revealed.

According to Production Weekly, the working title for the Netflix series' sophomore season is "Mysterious Monsters," a nod to its eponymous protagonist's primary occupation as a monster hunter.

After beginning principal photography in Europe in February, filming was brought to a halt as the global health crisis spread to the continent in March. A statement was then released earlier this month confirming filming would resume in August to complete work on the eagerly anticipated season.

Based on the fantasy franchise created by author Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher follows the magical Geralt of Rivia as he navigates warring kingdoms while being tasked for his storied reputation as a monster hunter to complete a series of epic quests. Developed for television by Lauren S. Hissrich, the first season premiered on Netflix in December 2019.
