The Witcher already has fans clamoring for a second season, continuing the high fantasy adventures of its eponymous monster hunter portrayed by Henry Cavill.

On Instagram, Cavill thanked fans for their support of the Netflix original series, promising that pre-production on Season 2 would be starting "very soon." Additionally, the actor promised to continue providing updates on the production via social media, as well as his usual workout posts.

An adaptation of the dark fantasy franchise of the same name by novelist Andrzej Sapkowski, the property was developed for Netflix by showrunner and executive producer Lauren S. Hissrich, bringing the epic adventures of Geralt to life. According to a third-party report, The Witcher surpassed Disney+'s The Mandalorian as the most popular television series of 2019 based on metrics derived from social media impressions, polls and viewership.

With plenty of material to adapt for further seasons, the future is looking bright for Geralt and company..
