The book features the debut of several pivotal characters in Witcher lore, including Geralt, Yennefer and the bard Jaskier, who became a fan-favorite following Season 1 of Netflix's Witcher adaptation. The Last Wish was translated into English in 2007 to coincide with the release of CD Projekt Red's first Witcher video game.
