There’s no denying that Attack on Titan is among one of the most popular shonen anime to ever exist. A lot of credit was given to its stunning animation and absolutely shocking plot revelations, but not enough credit was given to the studio that made the Attack On Titan manga (with its very questionable art) into an anime masterpiece.

10 Shingeki No Kyojin OVA
The only reason this OVA is mentioned here is that most Attack on Titan fans don’t know about its existence. It consists of 3 different episodes that are independent of each other, and focus on a few side characters from the main anime.
One is about an abnormal titan and the legacy of Ilse Langnar, one is about Jean’s boring life at home, and the third one focuses on Marco Bott’s time as a scout.
9 Hal
It is rare for WIT STUDIO to do movies, perhaps because their movies do not get as much traction as their TV series. Even so, Hal is a beautiful science fiction drama that focuses on the relationship between Kurumi and Q01.
Q01 is a robot that looks like her deceased fiancé, and the movie shows fans what it’s like to live in a future where it’s impossible to distinguish between humans and robots.
8 Hozuki's Coolheadedness
Hozuki is an extremely calm but sadistic demon who is the right-hand man of the king of hell. Thanks to him working behind the scenes, hell runs smoothly.
The anime is a light-hearted take on his day-to-day activities. Those familiar with Japanese folklore and mythologies will find many familiar names and faces making an appearance, usually working as middle management in this ever-growing department of hell.
7 After the Rain
Akira Tachibana is a reserved teenage girl who works as a part-timer in a nearby café. She develops romantic feelings for her manager – who happens to be a middle-aged man named Masami Kondoua!
Masami is kind and soft, with his behavior often being confused for being weak. However, this quality of his endears him even more to Akira, but the question is, will he say yes to her confession?
6 Kabaneri Of The Iron Fortress
The backdrop of this anime is the industrial revolution, where humanity is faced with a unique threat: zombies. The only way to kill these creatures (called Kabane) is to aim at their steel hearts.
On the island Hinomoto, humanity saves itself by getting onboard trains that lead them inside a giant fortress. Young Ikoma claims to have an invention that can kill these creatures, but will it be enough to save all of humanity?
5 The Ancient Magus' Bride
Chise Hatori is a teenage girl who finds herself being sold and bought at an underground auction, for five million pounds. Her master is a magus whose name is Elias Ainsworth.
He takes her to his home, a pretty cottage in what seems like an English country, where fairies and magic are as real as the air Chise breathes. Then, he drops a bomb on her – she must study to not only be his apprentice, but also his bride.
4 Vinland Saga
Thorfinn always dreamed of going on grand adventures like most sailors of his time, and to find the mythical place of Vinland. There, the food is plenty and war is a thing of the past.
However, Thorfinn’s reality is filled with death, battles, and betrayals, in a world overrun by Vikings. His primary goal is to find his father’s murderer, Askeladd, but he never gives up hope of finding Vinland as well.
3 Seraph Of The End
Most adult humans are dead in a world that is now overrun by vampires, who treat humans exactly how humans treat animals – as their food source.
Yuuichirou and Mikaela are two orphans who dream of freedom, but only Yuu makes it out alive. Mika is bit and killed by a vampire, and a now grown-up Yuu swears revenge on all vampires for killing his one and only family member.
2 Great Pretender
Makoto Edamura is a con artist who gets into trouble with the police after he seemingly cons another con artist, whose name is Laurent Thierry. With his ego hurt, Makoto swears to prove to Laurent that he’s the better con artist.
The whimsical Laurent accepts the challenge, and their bet takes them on grand adventures in the city of Los Angeles.
1 Attack On Titan: Lost Girls
This OVA is a must-watch for Mikasa and Annie fans. The primary focus of the first two episodes is a mission that Annie is on, to find a missing wealthy girl by the name of Carly Stratmann. These episodes give fans a view of what normal life is within the Wall Maria.
The third episode is a “what if” episode where Mikasa dreams of a future where her parents are still alive.
