Winona Ryder will make her way to Netflix for a new supernatural thriller.
Variety reports she'll star in the eight-episode thriller, formerly known as "Montauk," about a 2-year-old boy who disappears in a Long Island beach town in 1980. As friends, family and police search for answers, they’re drawn into a mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one strange little girl.
Ryder will play Joyce, the working-class mother of the boy who summons a strength she never she had while rescuing her son from terrifying forces.
The series is written and directed by brothers Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer ("Wayward Pines," "Hidden"), who will executive produce alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.
