Official Press Release
DC Comics is giving away a version of the cover art to BATMAN #616, one of most dramatic issues of this runaway best-seller series! Visitors to DCComics.com will have the chance to the win artist Jim Lee's original, unused pencils to this cover in the "Who is Hush?" contest.
To enter the contest, just go to DCComics.com now and guess the correct identity of Hush. If your answer is right, you will be automatically entered for a chance to win this never-before-seen artwork! The correct answer will be revealed at a later date.
"We wanted to do something special to wrap up the 'Hush' storyline," says Lee. "Since fans are so divided over who they think Hush really is, Jeph and I thought it would be cool for readers to see if they could outsmart Batman and figure it out on their own."
According to Jeph Loeb, "Jim and I have tried to make 'Hush' as challenging for readers as it has been for Batman, but I can honestly say that a few keen folks have figured out the mystery - or at least part of it. Here's a chance to cast your ballot and get a shot at some truly awesome prizes. My single regret? I can't vote! I'd love that Jim Lee cover!"
Lee adds, "This piece of artwork was chosen for the grand prize since it's a special, one-of-a-kind original drawing that was never used. It was supposed to be the cover to BATMAN # 616, but I decided to redraw it with different shadows and lighting. I'd rather make one lucky reader very happy than let this piece go to waste."
One lucky entrant will win Jim Lee's original unused pencilled cover art for BATMAN #616! Three First-Prize winners will receive the BATMAN STATUE designed by Lee. Five Second-Prize winners will receive the BATMAN: HUSH HC.
