William Fichtner wants you to know who he's playing in the Michael Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It was announced in May that the veteran actor had joined the cast, but his role wasn't made public. However, in a new interview with HuffPost TV Canada about his upcoming NBC series Crossing Lines and films like Elysium and The Lone Ranger, Fichtner confirmed suspicions about his part.

"I play Shredder," Fichtner said. "It is cool. It's one of those things that came along where I thought, 'Really? Let me think about this for a minute.' [Laughs] Then I was like, 'Yeah, OK, this sounds like a journey.' I'm very glad that it worked out, I'm really glad that I'm doing it."

Fichtner faces off against Megan Fox as April O'Neil, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo and Noel Fisher as Michelangelo in the adaptation of Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's 80s indie comic book that spawned a cartoon, film and toy empire. The Jonathan Liebesman-directed endeavor also stars Whoopi Goldberg, Will Arnett, Abby Elliott and Danny Woodburn. The film opens June 6, 2014.
