Will Smith has two major films, which both happen to be sequels, set to film before the sequel to David Ayer's DC Comics adaptation, Suicide Squad.

thanks to the delay of suicide squad 2, movie star will smith now has time to film sequels to genre movie favorites bright and bad boys.

according to the gww, smith's next film is sony's bad boys for life, the third entry in the michael bay-produced action film series co-starring martin lawrence.

after that, smith is poised to film a sequel to netflix's bright. bright takes place in an alternate universe where magical creatures such as orcs and fairies live together with humans in los angeles. smith plays human cop daryl ward, who winds up partnered with the first orc cop, nick jakoby, played by joel edgerton.

then, finally, smith will begin work on suicide squad 2, which will likely kick-off production in late-2019. director gavin o'connor is set to fill david ayer's shoes for the sequel, which will bring back smith and the likes of margot robbie's harley quinn.

david bar katz and todd stashwick will be writing the script for the dc supervillain team’s next cinematic adventure.
