Over a week into principal photography and star Will Smith has provided a first look at him and co-star Martin Lawrence reprising their fan-favorite roles in Bad Boys for Life.
In a post on the actor's Instagram account, a short video reveals Smith and Lawrence in-costume as Miami police detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, respectively, on set for the upcoming sequel set to P. Diddy's "Bad Boys for Life."
The third installment of the popular buddy-cop franchise and first not directed by Michael Bay, the new film will pit the two detectives against the cartels with the head of a cartel, portrayed by Jacob Scipio, tasked to kill Lowrey as the streets of Miami become the battlefield for a new war on drugs.
Principal photography on the film began last week in Atlanta, as revealed by camera tests of Smith and Lawrence shared online by Smith and his son Jaden through their Instagram accounts.
Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Bad Boys For Life stars Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig and Charles Melton. The film is set for release on January 17, 2020.
