It’s only speculation, but if you put two and two and together, it may equal an appearance by Arkham Asylum in director Zack Snyder’s “Justice League.”
Fan site Batman-News.com draws a line between the recent confirmation that Jesse Eisenberg will reprise his role as Lex Luthor in “Justice League” and the scene from the Ultimate edition of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” in which Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight tells a jailed Luthor he’s arranged to have him transferred to Arkham.
The website props up its theory by pointing to listings on “Justice League’s” IMDb.com entry for “Arkham Guard” and “Arkham Guard 2.” However, given the user-editing features of IMDb, that information should probably be taken with a grain of salt.
If the movie does find time to visit Arkham, the potential for inmate cameos seems endless. A few seconds of a flipping coin or a glimpse of a twisting vine would undoubtedly cause DC Comics fans to cheer, and potentially set up the appearance of villains in upcoming films, most notably Affleck’s “The Batman.”
Opening Nov. 17, 2017, “Justice League” stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Raymond Fisher, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen and J.K. Simmons.
