After a wildly successful trilogy directed by Christopher Nolan, the Dark Knight will return to the big screen in 2016 with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, followed by Justice League. But what's planned for Batman -- and the new actor behind the mask, Ben Affleck -- after that?

According to Latino Review's sources, he'll get another solo film in 2019. That might seem like a long way off, but it fits in with the purported Warner Bros./DC Comics movie revealed last week: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (May 2016); Shazam (July 2016); The Sandman (Christmas 2016); Justice League (May 2017); Wonder Woman (July 2017); a Flash and Green Lantern team-up (Christmas 2017); and Man of Steel 2 (May 2018).

As you can see, a new Batman film, supposedly titled The Batman, could fit in quite well. Beyond the scheduling, the next big question is, who will direct the film? Affleck is an acclaimed director, but pulling double-duty on a project of this magnitude might be difficult.
