As surprised as you may be to learn there are two officially licensed DC Comics Super Hero Cafes in Malaysia, brace yourself for the opening of a third next month in Singapore.

JT Network, which owns a chain of DC Comics Super Hero retail stores with locations in Malaysia, Singapore, China, Macau and Hong Kong, operates the first two restaurants, which look to be of the "fast casual" variety. However, the menus offer anything but standard burgers-and-wraps fare.

Ahead of its Sept. 1 opening at the The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, the Singapore cafe -- operated by Kusto Lifestyle Concepts --- is showcasing a sampling of its offerings this weekend at the annual Epicurean Market: the Aquaman Justice Jumbo Prawn Cocktail, the Superman Man of Steel BBQ Chicken Burrito and, best of all, the Dark Knight Mini Wagyu Beef Burger, complete with a black bun (with the Bat-symbol on top).

The other locations feature everything from Superman pancakes and a Wonder Woman turkey roll to Batman pizzas and Green Arrow mint tea; presumably the Singapore cafe, with its menu conceived by chef Eric Teo, will offer similar selections.

Note: The post has been edited to reflect that the DC Comics Super Hero Cafe in Singapore is owned by Kusto Lifestyle Concepts.
