Dwayne Johnson is set to finally bring Black Adam to the DC Extended Universe. The actor has teased on several occasions just how powerful his character is, and there's good reason to be excited about just how Black Adam could change the DCEU going forward. In this video, we're going to go into just why Black Adam is so fearsome and how he could end up taking down Clark Kent/Superman.

To understand Black Adam's true strength, it's important to look at his history in the comics. Created by Otto Binder and C.C. Beck, Black Adam first appeared in 1945's The Marvel Family #1. Black Adam received his powers from the wizard Shazam, just like Billy Batson, including the stamina of Shu, the speed of heru, the strength of Amon, the wisdom of Zehuti, the power of Aton and the courage of Mehen. Over the years, he's been both a villain and something of an antihero willing to go to pretty much any length in order to do what he thinks is right. In many ways, he's a parallel to both Shazam and Superman, which is why a battle between the two is so appealing.
