The following contains spoilers for Batman: Beyond the White Knight #8, on sale now from DC Comics.

Wonder Woman Diana Prince and Green Lantern John Stewart are now a part of writer-artist Sean Murphy's Batman: White Knight Universe.

Batman: Beyond the White Knight is the latest entry into the White Knight Universe, dealing with an older Batman Bruce Wayne breaking out of prison to team up with the Bat-Family and stop Derek Powers, AKA the Batman Beyond villain Blight. Written and illustrated by Murphy, at the end of Beyond the White Knight #8, the Bat-Family defeats Powers, but Bruce is then greeted by Diana and John with a proposition for him. In the White Knight Universe, the two superheroes are F.B.I. agents instead, and offer to expedite the rest of Bruce's prison sentence if he helps with a new potential threat: Superman Clark Kent.

DC's White Knight Universe Reveals Wonder Woman and Green Lantern's New JobsWonder Woman and Green Lantern Are Scared of Superman

Until now, non-Batman heroes have not appeared in the White Knight Universe. Wonder Woman and John Stewart being F.B.I. agents is in tune with White Knight's tradition of putting twists on classic characters, but their jobs also allow them to access classified footage of Superman suited up and flying throughout Kansas. When he witnessed this footage, Powers built up a massive arsenal in fear of an alien invasion, and Diana and John appear to have this same concern after seeing Clark in action.

Diana explains to Bruce in Beyond the White Knight #8, "We've found something that -- quite frankly -- we're not equipped to deal with. You've spent your life dealing with people exhibiting all kinds of extraordinary abilities, so we're hoping you can help us."

Batman: White Knight Unveils New Joker and Superman Series

Both series are set to deal with the Superman reveal, and although Generation Joker will release first in May 2023, Superman, Wonder Woman and the Justice League will get the spotlight in World's Finest: White Knight. Murphy will both write and illustrate the latter series, and says of the book in Beyond the White Knight #8's behind-the-scenes letter, "I'm really excited to reinvent the JLA in a way that no other book can!"

Along with Murphy, Batman: Beyond the White Knight #8 is colored by Dave Stewart and lettered by AndWorld Design.
