Marvel.com has announced that "White Collar" alum Bridget Regan is the latest addition to Marvel's "Agent Carter" cast. Regan will take on the recurring role of Dottie, described by Marvel as "a small-town girl from Iowa who'll have a huge impact on the life of Agent Carter." The character is the second seemingly "normal" character to be announced for the series, along with Lyndsy Fonseca's Angie Martinelli.

"Bridget Regan brings the nuance and complexity of Dottie to life in a way that leaves no doubt as to her importance to Peggy," said Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television.

In addition to "White Collar," Regan's credits include the recent film "John Wick" as well as freshman CW drama "Jane the Virgin" -- though viewers will likely best know her as Kahlan Amnell in 2008's "Legend of the Seeker." Regan isn't actually the first "White Collar" alum to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe -- the show's star Tim DeKay recently debuted on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." as Senator Christian Ward, Grant Ward's brother.

Regan joins fellow cast members Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper, Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj, James D'Arcy, Shea Wigham and Lyndsy Fonseca. The series written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeeley airs January 6, 2015 on ABC.
